A “will do now” Versus A “Might do Later” - Mentality is needed to maintain health
In order to gain a full appreciation for the knowledge that your health is largely under your control, you need to appreciate that what you have been doing daily, over the years, has led to who you are. You need to examine the impact of your actions over “time”.
Time is our most valuable “Finite” resource. We will all be here for a period of time; from birth to the grave we have a small amount of time to be here. What our state of health is at any point in that linear stream of time, will reflect whether or not we have been providing for our biochemical needs appropriately. If we have, we will be vibrant and energetic. If we haven’t, we will be tired and sluggish at best, and more likely diseased or physically compromised.
The point is this: What you do, day by day, adds up to “who” and “how” you are. The journey is yours and you will make that trip; from the cradle to the grave. You control how it goes right to the end. The problem is that, it is the little correct things, done consistently, over time, that get the right result. It is also the little wrong things, done consistently, over time, that get the wrong result. The message here is “always do the right thing from the moment you get out of bed to the time you get back in bed - every day.” Avoid the Angst, that goes with the failure, that comes with always doing what’s “comfortable” instead of what is “correct”. This is the only road to accomplishment. For your health goals or any other goals. Whatever you want your health to be, it is in your power to create, if you do what it takes. Fail to do what it takes, and failure to succeed results.
Everyone has the ability to change their biochemistry every four hours. What you eat now will have strong biological consequences for the next four hours. Then, the next four hours is controlled by your next meal. This process happens every day of your life and provides a large door into controlling your health. Mindful attention to the food that you allow to enter your body, will give you a powerful edge in determining your state of health.
Exercise, the other great contributor to a healthful condition, also requires consistency to be effective. A well planned exercise routine, done consistently, will provide a huge influence on your state of health. Diet and exercise are the two most impactful elements of a healthy condition and their success is predicated on consistent application. If you consistently apply effort to your diet and exercise program, you will have abundant health. If you consistently fail to apply effort to your diet and exercise program, your health will suffer. “AND...Time will tell”
